Over the course of his career, Mike has performed extensively throughout the region in jazz, salsa, chamber, big band, and commercial horn section settings. His performance credits include appearances with national touring artists such as The Temptations, Jerry Lewis, Danny Seraphine’s CTA, The Buckinghams, Felix Cavaliere, and Wayne Newton, in addition to his ongoing work with many of Louisville’s leading ensembles.
Mike’s studio résumé includes recording sessions in both Louisville and Nashville. He contributed trombone and electric bass to the 2026 Love Jones album The Greatest Show on Earth, and in 2019 he appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon performing with Love Jones and the Bad Ass Brass. He is a member of the Louisville Musicians Union (Local 11‑637) and an alumni member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia. In addition to trombone, he performs on electric bass and has worked with groups such as The Bottle Trees.
As an arranger, Mike specializes in brass quintet, horn section, and pep band writing, producing charts known for their playability, stylistic authenticity, and ensemble‑friendly construction.
